Peter Pan by J.M. Barrie
Synopsis:
This is a children’s fiction book about Peter Pan, a mischievous boy, who can fly and lives on the island of Neverland which is inhabited by mermaids, pirates, fairies, and Native Americans. He is an eternal child and will never grow up. This story also involves Wendy Darling, and her brothers John and Michael, Tinker Bell, the Lost Boys, and Captain Hook.
One night while Peter is looking for his shadow at the Darling’s house, he meets Wendy Darling and invites her to Neverland along with John and Michael to be a mother to the Lost Boys. While there, the Darling children experience many adventures including mermaids, pirates, and Native Americans. Eventually, the children return home to England and reunite with their parents. Wendy’s parents adopt the boys, and Mrs. Darling offers to adopt Peter Pan, but Peter Pan refuses because he doesn’t want to grow up.
Peter promises to come back for Wendy and take her to Neverland for a week each spring. However, he has already forgotten about Tinker Bell, who has since died, the Lost Boys, and Captain Hook. Peter Pan returns for Wendy years later and discovers that she is grown up and married with a daughter of her own named Jane. Jane goes to Neverland with Peter as Peter’s new mother, and when she grows up, he takes her daughter, Margaret.

“To live will be an awfully big adventure.”
“All the world is full of faith, and trust, and pixie dust.”
