The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe by C.S. Lewis

Synopsis:

This is the second book in the Narnia series by C.S. Lewis. It is about four children Peter, Susan, Edmund, and Lucy who discover the land of Narnia through a magical wardrobe and become the future kings and queens of Narnia after Aslan, kills the White Witch.

First Lucy enters the wardrobe and discovers Narnia and then Edmund follows her into the wardrobe and finally Peter and Susan join them.

Review:

I loved this book and found it to be very easy and light hearted.

“To the glittering eastern sea, I give you Queen Lucy the Valiant. To the great western woods, King Edmund the just. To the radiant southern sun, Queen Susan the gentle. And to the clear northern skies, I give you King Peter the Magnificent. Once a king or queen of Narnia, always a king of queen of Narnia. May your wisdom grace us until the stars rain down from the heavens.”

“And so for a time it looked as if all of the adventures were coming to an end; but that was not meant to be.”

“And that is the very end of the adventure of the wardrobe. But if the Professor was right it was only the beginning of the adventures of Narnia.”
